it was angela's b'day yesterday.. happy birthday BB!! :D

i started the day out all stressed cos i tawt that i had an essay due today. i sms-ed sarah from my class to ask her when (like what time) exactly it was due, cos i was pretty sure i'm going to use up all the time i can get. but then she pointed out how they made a mistake in the course outline and the essay is actually due nov 4. yayy!! err, the lecturer's recycled the course outline, and changed the due date on one part of the outline but hasn't changed the dates on another part of the outline (cors' it was the part that i looked at). but yeah, i'm happy cos i could spend the day with ange. i'm a bit scared of all the things i have due next week tho. 2 major essays and 1 class test. eek!!

so anyways, yesterday i went to eastgardens to get ange a mini birthday cake from michel's patisserie, drove to her place, spent like 10 mins baking in the car trying to set up the candles and cake. i tried to light the candles but the wind kept putting it out, so i had to get ange to open the door, lock her in her room, come and light the cake in her house with the help of her mum. hehehee.. but all went well. there were so many candles (20 to be exact) on that lil cake.. lols. we had some cake and then headed off to lunch at kingsford. after pacing up and down anzac pde trying to decide where we'd eat (cos ayam goreng 99 and shalom was closed. grr..) i decided to take us to try pempek palembang. we (wel, it's really just me) ordered sooooooo much food that the oom who took our order looked so surprised. hahaha.. it was so embarassing. i stupidly ordered practically two of the same dish - gado gado & ketoprak.. wel, i was worried that ange might not have enough to eat, so i practically ordered all the vegetarian dishes on the menu. at least next time we'll know not to do that. i also ordered a nasi timbel (which has rice, fried chicken and sayur asem - like a sour vegetable soup) for myself.. oh, and a side order of fried tofu... oh and also es cendols.. hehe.. i think when we left the whole kitchen crew came out to see if we finished our food. which we can say with dignity that we didn't. haha.

we were soooooo full after lunch so i decided to take us for a walk at centennial park. we walked around half of the park, detouring down the middle of the park to see cockatoos, fat geese, the rose garden, a mummy duck with her 4 ducklings (sooo cute!!! me and ange will be back with bread to feed em someday soon), the black swans, horny pigeons (hard to describe, but they were a horny bunch. or maybe we have a dirty imagination?? nahh, they were horny.. truthfully!), and wild rabbits. by the time we got back to the car our food's gone down and we felt a lot better.

after that we headed to coles maroubra cos angie's mum was making her a profiterole pyramid with cream and choccie, but apparently the choc was too runny so she asked us to pick up some icing sugar. so we got the icing sugar, dropped it off at her place and then went to peter's of kensington. i wanted to get an organiser that i've had my eye on for quite a while. man the shop assistants there are rude and snobbish! me and ange were standing there on the counter for a long time, and when the lady finally finished serving the lady who was there before us, she just went and served another customer. and we were just like grrrrrr.... and i was so close to just leaving, but then the organiser motivated me to stay. just because we look young and are asians, doesn't mean that we ain't got money to spend. we finally got served and i felt fooled cos the prices weren't as cheap as what their web says but they were still a lot cheaper than if i'd gotten it from david jones or grace bros. so i ended up getting a filofax personal organiser. *grins*after deciding on an organiser, we went upstairs to look around and then went to maccas to get angie her mcflurry.

it's been such a long time since i've thought abt mcflurries. haha.. i remember the days when i used to work in the old drive thru and u can make whatever u want - spiders, mini mcflurries with more topping than ice cream, iced coffee, etc. i persuaded angie to have my fave mix of mcflurry, which is double oreo and choc fudge on the bottom, then the soft serve, and more oreo and choc fudge on top. mmm..... i just got soft serve on a sundae lid for meself. but angie said that i've succeeded in getting her hooked on mcflurries again. yayy! heheee.. i love getting ppl hooked on certain foods.

after more food, we went to angie's place, where her mum's finished the profiterole pyramid, and we took lots of piccies and had some profiterole and then i headed home.

so yesterday has been a fun-filled, constant-eating day. haha.. man, we better go for more walks now ange. try and burn off some of all that food we had. happy b'day once again darl. remember that we love u!! :D
